Mel’s Priorities for District Four include:

  1. Working with local and neighboring government to stop the expansion of warehousing in residential areas
  2. Promoting retail, entertainment and local business growth in the city of South Fulton
  3. Streamlining the development process for the City of South Fulton courthouse
  4. Retaining qualified, public safety talent – long term, by increasing public safety staffing levels for the community
  5. Presenting a logistics plan for a future City of South Fulton Public Sanitation service

Mel Keyton has been a South Fulton County resident for more than 40 years. He currently works as an Engineer with DeKalb County Government and has served his local community through volunteerism and leading community projects. In 2016, he along with three (3) others signed a re-zoning agreement that created three (3) additional subdivisions in District Four.
